The Dine & Wine Festival is South Tyrol's traditional highlight for gourmets and connoisseurs of fine cuisine. It is a celebration of international gourmet culture unlike any other event on earth. Once every year, the world's best chefs and winemakers – passionate representatives of their respective regions and exceptional masters of their craft – meet at Hotel Castel to spoil you with their exquisite compositions. Dine & Wine 2018  "L'Art de Vivre"

In the spirit of our gourmet association "L'Art de Vivre", to which we have belonged this year for 15 years, top chefs from this special gourmet circle will be cooking at the 16th Dine & Wine Festival 2018 from 4th to 8th November.

We are delighted to be able to present L'Art de Vivre President Hans-Stefan Steinheuer as our guest chef. He has been successfully defending his 2 Michelin stars for exactly 20 years now and thus counts among the absolute German cooking elite. The Restaurant Steinheuer in Heppingen is therefore known to all gourmets and a real family business, which the top chef runs together with his wife Gabriele, daughter Desirée and son-in-law Christian Binder.

The second evening is marked by the star chef Jürgen Vigne with his personal culinary signature, one of the best of the Austrian gourmet scene and winner of many awards. In the restaurant Pfefferschiff in Söllheim, which he runs together with his wife Iris, he offers unforgettable taste experiences with francophile influence on the green outskirts of Salzburg.

The third evening is traditionally under local auspices and so our 2-star chef Gerhard Wieser is cooking the final gala dinner this year as part of the festival. His great passion for cooking and his will, have made him one of the best chefs in the entire Alpine region for 25 years as our chef.

The festival ends with a deliberately casual and relaxed evening. An atmospheric and joyful final evening under the direction of our chef promises a lot of joy with a finger food menu and a wine buffet from which you can freely choose the wines.

Top wines of the wineries Felsina (Chianti, Italy), Jean Stodden (Ahrtal, Germany) and Kornell (South Tyrol) accompany the delicacies of the master chefs. An interesting supporting programme including a vertical tasting of the famous "Fontaloro" and other highlights round off the four-day event.
